Setting up a Blink WiFi camera is a straightforward procedure, but doing it right the first time results in smoother operation and improved home security. The processes for installing an indoor, outdoor, or mini camera are essentially the same.
Download the Blink App.
First, install the Blink Home Monitor app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Create an account or login with your Blink credentials.
Add a Sync Module (if necessary).
Most Blink systems require a Sync Module. Connect it to electricity and wait for the LED to turn solid blue and flashing green. This signifies that you're ready to set up. In the app, press the '+' symbol and then "Sync Module." Scan the QR code on the back and then follow the on-screen directions to execute blink wifi camera setup.
Add your camera.
Once your Sync Module is operational, hit the '+' symbol again to pick the type of camera you want to add. Scan the camera's QR code. The app will lead you through the process of connecting your camera to the sync module and home Wi-Fi network.
Position your camera.
Select a place with a strong Wi-Fi signal. Before mounting, use the app's live view feature to ensure video clarity and motion detection. Make that the camera is in range of both your network and the Sync Module.
Customize settings.
To fit your needs, you may adjust the app's motion sensitivity, recording length, and notification choices.
With everything linked, your Blink camera will begin monitoring instantly. If you need to alter it, navigate to Device Settings in the app.
